This semester is going to be crazy. Things are going good. My classes are awesome.
History and Literature of Witchcraft (its kickass and teacher is awesome)
Chemistry 130 (easy, i love chem, and good people in it)
Global Interdependence (some really cool stuff, hard to explain)
Spanish (hard but teacher is good, and i need to learn it since im teching little kids how to read it)
were getting our futon today and im so excited!! and we better have some partys up in the ox this semester cause they are much needed. I have a ton of resolutions and all that new years junk, but ive been lazy about writing it down, ill get to it even if its a few weeks late.
im geting rid of this journal, and this is my last entry...kind of a shitty one i kno, but oh well.

The end of the semester is insane. Its past 3am and the fishbowl is packed! Theres at least 500 computers here. People are crazy. Im crazy. Im on my 8th cup of coffee. I dont even drink coffee. But im on a mission. Im finishing my 20 page paper tonight no matter what. I started at 7pm and I have 4 pages. I shouldnt call it a mission. That makes it sounds like im all stressed out. Im not, not at all. Im sure I will be here well into the morning but i dont really care.
I found a secret place to study today. Since every coffee shop and library on campus are swarming with people this was a big accomplishment. I spent the entire day relaxed on a big comfy couch reading the Principia, and they were playing good jazz. I read the entire book. Well i looked at every page at least. I actually enjoyed it. I guess that makes me pretty wierd, but what can I say.
This summer Im going to Ghana. Cool huh. I thought so. Its in africa if you didnt know.
Im getting a mp3 player for xmas. mine is better than an ipod. wayy better, you should check it out. iriver H320. color screen, jpeg ang bmp files, fm radio, no stupid apple copyright crap(meaning I can take files on and off and share them unlike the ipod), voicer recorder! inline cable that can record anything in realtime like the radio...or music files that cant be downloded, mine comes with a case, has 4 hour longer battery life, text viewer, supports WMA files...yea mine is better. oh i forgot, mine doesnt have a little spinny button...big whoopdeedoo.
Im getting a digital camera too.
A girl just came up to me with a jacket over her face, she took it off and yelled peek-a-boo then ran off crackign up. I repeat, people here are crazy.
My goal is to finish before noon. now that ive wasted a good half hour, i should get back to work. |

what a unproductive night. Ive been in my room since 5 and i have done absolutely nothing except listnen to music. I cannot wait till this semester is over. Meanwhile these next 2 weeks are gonna be helll. I want to go snowboarding. I want to see my friends. I want someone to write this 20 page paper for me. |

Ok, I admit it. I love being home. The yelling, screaming, fighting, swearing, and of course the mess... in some twisted way I missed it. I am not at all looking forward to going back to school this year. Why cant it be next semester yet?/// :(
Becky had Thanksgiving with us. It was nice. We went to the parade and then today we got up at 4:30am to go shopping!!! It was crazyness, but I love it. People are insane. I didnt witness any brawls this year, but i got just about alll my christmas shopping done. You wish you were friends with me cause I give awesome presents! (and Megan, yours is going to be super awesome because well I think I owe you) and im still cool and giving out little bags of candy to everyone at school. I love Christmas time.
Dominican Republic is in 3 months. Im so excited.
This summer Im going somewhere for 4 weeks to help research, help me decide...
China, East Africa, Jamaica, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Alaska,India, Ghana, or Gutatemala. They all sound pretty darn cool...and i get paid@!
I want to go ice skating sooo bad...ive been wanting to for just about 3 years, so if anyone is interested pleasse tell me!!!
And most of all I want to plan a mini ski trip to boyne or something over winter break. who wants to gooo???
Well im bout to go hoook it up with Megan, Aimee, and Paul!!! (get it, hook it up...as in go to a hookah bar...haha yea i was laughing...) |

Spring break = DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!!
10 days $342! and it is with med students and we will be doing health stuff. Its seriously like the perfect trip ever! exactly what i wanted. I have to learn spanish by spring, and we have to work on the project like 10 hours a week or more...so major commitment, but im so excited.
Also I got promoted in my job (i work in a research lab taking care of zebra fish, doing dishes, makign gels, autoclaving) Not only am i now in charge of keeping track of the budget...but i am going to start doing actual research and experiments and there going to be teaching me all this molecular bio stuff.
Im kinda figuring out what i want to do for a career and a major and stuff. Its pretty complicated but just think biology/psychology/medicine/health/global travel/helping people,and add a little public policy and biomed engenerring and there you have it. I think im going to be making up my own major because they sure as hell dont have one that looks like that.
My english teacher thinks i should "seriously consider being an english major" which is just funny, but she likes my writing which equals good grades and recommendations, so i dont mind.
Even though i havent met any megans or beckys, i keep myself pretty busy aroud here. IM softball, Soccer, flag football, element one (breakdancing club), bhaktivedanta (meditation, studying the bagavad gita and so on), GMRP global medical relief program, working out...
If you hate politics dont come to Ann Arbor, or at least dont get 2 DCers for roomates
Tomowrow morning im going to "Something of a transcendental costume party, we will be changing outfits; from our ordinary, mundane, over worked and stressed out bodies and minds, for something a bit more bewitching and graceful" at the Ashram...should be interesting

7 hours and i leave.
almost done packing. but i should just stop cause im for sure bringing wayy to much.
i have job interviews before classes even start. yipeee!
but im even excited about that. its gonna be so awesome. everything is.
my 3 roomates are sweet dude awesome, and we have our own bathroom. wilco is playing at the Hill and we already have tickets.
i cant even remember the last time i felt like this. so full of energy an so excited and looking forward to things. i was driving home tonight and i screamed just thinking about school, well it was more like a squeal.. but my window was down and the guy next to me heard. it was pretty funny.
i need to calm down or im never gonna fall asleep. |
